Finding a Specialist

FND requires a multidisciplinary approach. Finding clinicians who are "FND-aware" is the single most important step in recovery.

Primary Care (GP)

Start with your GP to rule out other conditions and request a referral to a neurologist who specializes in functional disorders.

Neuropsychiatry

Many leading FND centers are run by Neuropsychiatrists who understand the intersection of physical symptoms and brain software.

Specialized Physio

Look for "Neurological Physiotherapists" specifically. Standard PT may not be as effective for FND-specific gait or tremor issues.
